Dear Andrew,
Thank you for your reply.
With all due respect, I do not believe your email confirms whether you will put the questions to the Government.
Are you going to put these questions to the Government?
I believe they are important questions, and I believe the government should answer them.
I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,

Ryan

Dear Ryan
Thank you for contacting me about such an important matter.
I have added my name to the latest cross party parliamentary letter calling for the UK to formally recognise the State of Palestine, an urgent and necessary step towards peace, justice, and a viable two-state solution.
As long-standing advocate for Palestinian rights, I have consistently used my voice in Parliament to call out injustices and champion the cause of self-determination for the Palestinian people. My decision to sign this latest letter, led by Sarah Champion MP, comes at a time of profound humanitarian crisis and growing international concern.
The scale of suffering in Gaza is unimaginable, food, water, and medical aid are being systematically blocked. Civilians, especially children, are bearing the brunt of this tragedy. The international community must wake up, words of concern are no longer enough, we need action, recognition, and accountability. They must be treated with dignity and in accordance with international law, not the cruel and inhumane treatment we have repeatedly seen during this war.
I welcome the Labour Government’s recent decision to restore funding to UNRWA, the United Nations agency that provides critical support to millions of displaced Palestinians across the region. This was the right decision and a clear shift from the morally indefensible position taken by the previous Conservative government. More must now be done to get aid flowing into Gaza and to relieve the unimaginable suffering on the ground.
I reiterate my call for recognition of Palestinian statehood, recognition is not symbolic, it is a statement of principle, a commitment to equality, and a crucial foundation for peace. The situation in Gaza is becoming more dire by the day and stronger action must be undertaken now! Yours sincerelyAndrew Gwynne MP
